Welcome to Peter Lang Oxford

OxfordPeter Lang’s first UK office was set up in Canterbury in 1996. Ten years later the business was incorporated at the Oxfordshire location it had expanded into in 1999. In 2012, the UK operation moved into its present offices in central Oxford, at the heart of the academic and publishing community. We also have a commissioning presence in Ireland, working out of Dublin. Both operations exist to serve the needs of academics throughout the UK and Ireland.

The Oxford office publishes the full range of academic titles – monographs, collected papers, conference proceedings, Festschriften, journals, yearbooks – and covers all disciplines. It has particular strengths in modern languages (with several long-established series in French and German Studies), Theology, Education, and new emerging disciplines in Film Studies and Queer Studies, amongst others. The programme is constantly expanding and moving into different areas, and we welcome submissions and proposals for new series and books in all spheres of the humanities and social sciences.
