Publicity forms
Once you have signed your contract, you will be asked to complete two publicity forms (available below). These documents are very important because they establish key elements of your book (including the title and subtitle of your work).
According to our usual process, in order to set up a publicity file for your book to be published at P.I.E.-Peter Lang, you will find two downloadable documents (please do not send them until a publishing agreement is signed). We wish to insist on the importance of these documents, so far as it consists in verifying whether we agree on the different elements attached to your book (your address, title and subtitle, existence of logos and thanks, etc.):

After receiving your completed files, we will be able to send you the following documents

- Information Cover & Publicity: We would be grateful if you could complete this form, paying special attention to the text under question 5 which will be used for the back cover, the leaflet, the catalogues and the website. This text should be a blurb clarifying the scholarly significance of your work and the potential readers of your book. Key-terms should appear under question 6. The document entitled "Guidelines for Publicity Texts" can help you write this text.

- Subject Classification: This document enables our publicity department to insert an announcement of your book in the Peter Lang thematic catalogues.

Once filled in, you can send the electronic files by e-mail to our office.
After receiving your completed files, we will be able to send you the following documents
- a more detailed sub-classification form, to fill in with the help of lists whose subjects correspond to the ones of your subject classification.
- lists of journals, whose subjects also correspond to the ones of your subject classification.
Additional information
- We also ask authors to contribute to the publicity of their book by giving us some names and addresses of research centres and/or scholars who might be interested in it as well as the contributors addresses (if the book is a collection of essays). We cannot accept e-mail addresses, as it is forbidden by law to send publicity to e-mail addresses. You can also create a PDF version of the flyer on the page presenting your book on our website.
- Moreover, the authors receive 50 flyers of their book and the contributors 15 flyers. However, you can ask for more to distribute at a conference or to join to a mailing made by an institute for example.
- We do not send a copy of the book to the contributors. The editors can nevertheless decide to send them one of their authors copies.
